Hannah Sauder wins state award for Goshen College publications

Hannah Sauder, a junior Communication major from Lititz, PA, was recently honored for their work at the Indiana Collegiate Press Association (ICPA) competition for print media. Hannah attends Neffsville Mennonite Church.

ICPA presented awards at its annual conference on April 11 at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Among the winners were staff members of The Record, the student newspaper, and Red Cents, the student arts journal.

Eleven staff members of The Record received 15 individual awards in the division III newspaper category, while four students won awards for Red Cents.

Elizabeth Franks-North and Hannah Sauder received third place for Best Breaking News Reporting with “Students carrying mattresses for solidarity.” Hannah also received third place for Best Photo Essay or Picture Story with “Students perform in fall choral concert.”
