Benjamin Shelly is a Cabinet member in the Goshen College Student Senate

Benjamin Shelly, a junior History major from Goshen, IN, is serving as a Cabinet member in the Goshen College Student Senate during the 2014-15 academic year. Benjamin attends Assembly Mennonite Church.

The mission of Student Senate is to represent students' ideas, questions and concerns; to improve students' satisfaction and life on campus; to support campus clubs and organizations; and to foster community and promote communication between students, administration, faculty and the executive board.

The Student Senate is made up of seven cabinet members and five members-at-large. The cabinet includes David Zehr, president; Brian Sutter (fall) and Ben Shelly (spring), vice presidents; Jieun Han, secretary; Cecilia Lapp Stoltzfus (fall) and Laura Miller (spring), treasurers; and Alma Rosa Carrillo Flores, VP of marketing. The members-at-large are Erin Bergen, Crystopher Echavarria, Jenae Longenecker, Jill Steinmetz and Hannah Yoder.
